The advancement of such diagnostic techniques aligns with the World Health Organization's global strategy to eradicate cervical cancer as a public health concern. This review consolidates current findings regarding the application of Raman spectroscopy, including its surface-enhanced modality, in the diagnosis and risk stratification of cervical pathology. The analysis revealed that spectral examination of various biological samples – such as cytological preparations of the cervix, blood serum, and cervicovaginal fluid – facilitates the differentiation of benign, precancerous, and malignant conditions based on biochemical alterations in the composition of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, glycogen, and other metabolites. Noteworthy emphasis is placed on the potential of identifying molecular abnormalities in morphologically unchanged cells, as well as the use of cervicovaginal fluid as a local substrate for liquid biopsy. This development presents promising opportunities for minimally invasive screening and monitoring. The integration of machine learning algorithms and multivariate statistical analysis significantly enhances the diagnostic accuracy of this methodology. However, it is important to note that limited sample sizes and protocol heterogeneity constrain existing studies. Consequently, Raman spectroscopy shows considerable promise for the early diagnosis and risk stratification of human papillomavirus-related cervical lesions. Nevertheless, its clinical implementation requires standardization of methodology, validation of diagnostic models in large independent cohorts, and further investigation into the predictive value of spectral markers.</p>
Таким образом, рамановская спектроскопия демонстрирует высокий потенциал для ранней диагностики и стратификации риска поражений шейки матки, ассоциированных с вирусом папилломы человека, но для ее клинического внедрения необходимы стандартизация методологии, валидация диагностических моделей на крупных независимых когортах и дальнейшее изучение прогностической ценности спектральных маркеров.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Raman spectroscopy</kwd><kwd>SERS</kwd><kwd>dysplasia</kwd><kwd>precancerous diseases</kwd><kwd>cervical cancer</kwd><kwd>human papillomavirus</kwd><kwd>liquid biopsy</kwd><kwd>cervicovaginal fluid</kwd><kwd>metabolites</kwd><kwd>cytology</kwd><kwd>machine learning</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>рамановская спектроскопия</kwd><kwd>SERS</kwd><kwd>дисплазия</kwd><kwd>предраковые заболевания</kwd><kwd>рак шейки матки</kwd><kwd>вирус папилломы человека</kwd><kwd>жидкостная биопсия</kwd><kwd>цервиковагинальная жидкость</kwd><kwd>метаболиты</kwd><kwd>цитология</kwd><kwd>машинное обучение</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The study was carried out within the framework of the state assignment on: “Development of a test system for early and minimally invasive diagnosrics of HPV-associated precancerous and oncological diseases of the anogenital area in women of different ages using liquid biopsy” No. 12503063216-9.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках государственного задания по теме: «Разработка тест-системы для ранней и малоинвазивной диагностики предраковых и онкологических заболеваний аногенитальной области, ассоциированных с папилломавирусной инфекцией, у женщин различного возраста методом жидкостной биопсии» №12503063216-9.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Ferlay J, Ervik M, Lam F, et al.
