Author Guidelines
Russian Journal of Forest Science publishes original and review articles which deal with the forest science and related disciplines. A publication of an English text, written by the Author(s) is possible. The quality of the English text being on a sufficient level for a correct understanding of the article’s content by English speakers will be taken into account for the article’s evaluation.
The Editorial Board accepts only digital materials. To submit a manuscript please use the Editorial Board e-mail forest.sci@yandex.ru, or the editorial-publishing system (EPS). The Pleiades Publishing portal contains a step-by-step instruction.
A form for the transfer of rights agreement on the scientific article will be sent to authors after their paper has passed the scientific editing and has been sent back for rework. Alternatively the form can be downloaded. If an article has two or more co-authors, the agreement is still singular, but it has to contain all the necessary data of all the co-authors and their signatures. A filled-in and signed agreement should be scanned and sent to the Editorial Board in a PDF form, applied to the reworked version of the article.
Text of the articles should follow the following formatting rules. The text (including the abstract and references) should not exceed 15 pages for original articles, 8 pages for short communications, 3-4 pages for book reviews and information. Times New Roman 12 should be used with the 1.5 lines spacing. Page margins are set to 2.5 cm left, 1.5 cm right, 2 cm top and bottom. Period is used as a decimal delimiter. Up to 4 figures, or 5 tables are allowed. Their volume is not accounted in the limits of the text volume. The article should be designed as follows. First, the Universal Decimal Classification index is provided aligned left. Below are the title, authors, and the full affiliation including the institute name and mailing address, then the contact e-mail, and the date received by the editorial office. All the listed elements should be centered. Below is the example of such design:
